Austin, Texas 78734Dear Keynamics,
Thank you for allowing me to evaluate the Keynamics Laptop Stand.
The Keynamics laptop stand addresses two important ergonomic challenges in the use of laptop computers: the angle of the keyboard, and the position of the body for people who use an ordinary desk or table on which to type, rather than a dedicated computer table. By projecting the computer towards the user, a variety of chair positions can be chosen. The laptop stand allows the user to vary chair height and angle over the course of the day. In addition, by positioning the computer at a comfortable angle, the stand appears to improve the ergonomics of typing and lessen the feeling of fatigue.
The Keynamics stand also helps address some of the OSHA recommendations emphasizing the importance of varying position over the course of the workday.
Yours sincerely,

Laptop Magazine Review:
"Stand and Deliver" September 2004
Weighing 10 pounds and constructed to very rugged specifications, the Keynamics Laptop Stand is designed to perch at the edge of your desk and support your laptop with the keyboard angled towards you. The inclined support section extends beyond the edge of the desk, making for very comfortable typing. A lip at the bottom of that section combines with a pair of sticky rubber strips and adjustable levelers to hold the laptop firmly in position.
Here's the best part: A pair of big, sturdy wheels on the back of the stand enable you to move the assemblage out of the way when you need the desk for other purposes. This feature works best when there isn't a tangle of cables at the rear of the laptop, but with a little forethought, even a fully connected system can be moved aside with ease. It's worth noting that the device comes with four pages of safety instructions, some of which bear careful reading. This is a heavy product, and you don't want it rolling off your desk and onto your lap.

... However, now there’s a fourth category, represented by the Keynamics Laptop Stand, which is different from anything else on the market. The Keynamics’ unique features are that it incorporates a couple of skateboard wheels, which make it easy to shift the computer out of your immediate workspace when you’re working at a desk or table, and its facility to orient the laptop’s keyboard at a more comfortable angle that if it was sitting flat on the work surface -- by cantilevering it over the edge of the desk or table anchored by a heavy weight in the stand unit.

I am a proud owner of the Keynamics Laptop Stand. I have used it for
several months now, and believe me if I tell you it has has been the best
computer related investment I have ever made! This product is very convenient
for people like me who only have a laptop computer to use everyday.
It is a joy to work long hours using my laptop based on its Keynamics stand; the ergonomic design allows me to use my laptop for hours without getting tired or stressed from my back and neck.

Roberta B. - Fort Myers Beach Florida:
I am retired and 6 months out of the year am an RV'er. Since living in a Motor Home part time with limited space I went to a Laptop computer - only to find it very uncomfortable for my neck and back after a short time of use. I purchased the Keynamics Laptop Stand 6 months ago and find new comfort using my laptop.
I have to believe people using laptops for extended time periods must have all kinds of repetitive stress problems associated with their use. This product does everything the advertising says it will.

........Positioning the laptop stand so that it sat over the edge of my desk made it much easier to use the keyboard and was noticeably more comfortable than using the laptop on top of the desk alone. The display is at an ideal height for viewing. If your desk has a curved rather than straight front, this laptop stand will still work.
If you are looking for a sturdy laptop stand, the Keynamics™ Laptop Stand is a good laptop accessory to have.

....As far as improvement in ergonomics goes, I think the laptop stand delivers what it promised. It was pretty much a "love at the first type". I reported that to Brian the first night I got the stand and I still enjoy typing with it now. I do feel that I am not fully realizing the potential of this stand because all I have at my home are these uncomfortable wooden chairs or cheap folding chairs that offer no elbow support or reclining at all. In a typical office environment where proper furniture such as a right chair exists, it will be even more comfortable and relaxing when you type because you can recline further.

About This Particular Macintosh
.......I’ll be honest—the first time I saw this stand, I thought it was a joke. As soon as I sat down in front of it, however, I knew I had found an incredible product.
